When filmmaker Juan Alfredo Amil is informed by his doctors that his morbid obesity could threaten his life, he finds only one way to combat his state of panic: making a film about it. However, the tension he feels brings old personal demons to the surface.

Juan Alfredo Amil (born 1981 in Arona, Tenerife) is a filmmaker specializing in telling stories in a personal and artisanal way. He completed his first feature-length documentary in 2015, which was awarded at the Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards, among others. He is one of Spain’s pioneering filmmakers in creating short films using mobile phones.
