Ten-year-old Pedram is completely dissatisfied with life with his mother. He yearns for more freedom. His mother intends to remarry. Meanwhile, Pedram befriends a stranger who disappears when the fiancé learns of their relationship.

Reza Hemasi (*1986 in Tehran, Iran) graduated with a degree in Cinema from Soureh Cinema University. He has produced several short films and documentaries and has served as a cinematographer on some feature films showcased at prestigious film festivals worldwide. His short films have been screened and awarded at numerous national and international film festivals. “The Tortoise and The Snail” marks his directorial debut.
